Why Black Ink is the Best Choice
Brown kraft paper is a popular choice for business cards and flyers due to its earthy and natural appearance. However, when it comes to printing on kraft paper, some options are better than others. Full color printing, while an attractive option for other types of paper, is not ideal for kraft paper.
There are a few reasons why full color printing on brown kraft paper is not the best choice. Firstly, the brown color of kraft paper can affect the appearance of the colors printed on it. The brown color will mix with the colors used in the design, resulting in a muddied or muted appearance. Secondly, full color printing is slightly more expensive and may not be worth the cost for a product that may not look as vibrant as intended.

At Jukebox, we recommend black ink printing for brown kraft paper products. Solid black text and artwork complement brown kraft paper exceptionally well, providing a classic and elegant look that enhances the natural appeal of the material. When designing for brown kraft paper, it's best to opt for minimalistic designs that don't require solid coverage, allowing the unique texture of the paper be untouched.
When designing a project that will be printed on brown kraft paper, it's important to keep in mind the limitations of the material and choose the appropriate printing option. By using black ink printing, you can achieve a stylish and professional look that is sure to impress.

How will color look on the Brown Kraft?
When printing on Brown Kraft paper, it's important to understand that the colors will look different compared to when printed on white paper. This is because white ink isn't used in regular CMYK printing. Instead, white elements in your design will show the brown paper underneath.
The color of the paper will also affect the appearance of the colors due to the ink being slightly translucent. Lighter shades will show more of the brown paper through the ink, which can make it difficult to see the design clearly.
Colors in the orange, yellow, and brown range will not be very visible on Brown Kraft paper because they won't contrast enough with the brown color of the paper. This applies to lighter shades as well.
However, there are specialty printing services such as screen printing and foil stamping that can produce white ink on Brown Kraft paper. You can request these services through our customer service team. It's important to keep these factors in mind when designing for Brown Kraft paper to ensure the best possible outcome.
