How do colors show up on transparent stickers?
Due to the translucent quality of ink, when printed over a transparent stock, the colors will be see-through and will look a lot lighter than they do when viewed on screen.
The surface which your transparent sticker will be placed on will greatly affect the overall appearance of the printed image. For example, when a transparent sticker is adhered to a white surface, the colors will appear more vibrant, opaque and closer to how they look in your proof. If the sticker is placed over a dark colored or patterned surface , it will reduce the visibility of your printed design. Additionally, when a transparent sticker is placed on a clear glass or a window, the colors can appear very light and will be the most see-through.
Overall, we recommend using dark colors when designing for transparent stickers and to avoid light colors as these will appear more translucent when printed and reduce the visibility of your printed artwork.
Alternatively, consider adding a white ink underlay to enhance the colors and visibility of your design. White ink is only available on our Super Matte Transparent or Super Gloss Transparent stocks.

Can I order transparent sticker sheets?
Yes, you can order this item from our Sticker Sheets page. Sticker sheets are a fun and convenient alternative to print multiple designs on a single sheet. You can maximize the entire sheet by printing more than one image. This means no limits to your creativity, each sticker can vary in size and shape! These are also ideal for smaller stickers such as 1" - 2" because cut of the stickers allows for a super easy-to-peel experience.
File Setup
The smallest sticker sheet we can print is 4" x 6" and largest is 50" x 50". However, below are the most popular sizes:
- 4" x 6"
- 5" x 7"
- 5.5" x 8.5"
- 8.5" x 11"
If your stickers are custom shaped, you will need to provide the cut line(s) for each shape. We will normally provide the first custom cut line for free, but if your sticker sheet will have multiple custom shaped stickers, we will require you to provide the cut lines (at least for the additional designs after the first one).
Note that we will do the imposition of the stickers on the sheet, so we will only need you to provide your artwork and cut line file(s).

How do transparent stickers compare to other vinyl stickers?
When it comes to stickers, there are a few different materials to choose from, but two of the most popular are transparent stickers and vinyl stickers. The main difference between the two is the material they are made from.
Transparent stickers are made from a clear, see-through material that allows the surface it is applied to show through the design. This makes them ideal for use on surfaces where you want the design to blend in seamlessly. For example, a transparent sticker on a car window will not obstruct the driver's view.
On the other hand, vinyl stickers are made from a thicker, opaque material that is not see-through. They are often used for designs that require a bold, solid color or for outdoor use, as they are more durable and weather-resistant.
Both transparent and vinyl stickers are versatile and can be used for a range of applications, including branding, advertising, and decoration. The choice between the two comes down to personal preference and the specific needs of your project

How do colors show up on transparent stickers without White Ink underlay?
Colors printed on transparent stickers without a white ink underlay tend to have a see-through quality. This is because the inks used are somewhat translucent. Here's what you can expect:
Lighter Appearance than On-Screen: The colors on the transparent sticker will look significantly lighter than they appear on your digital proof or screen. This is due to the transparent nature of both the sticker material and the ink.
Influence of the Background Surface: The surface where you stick the transparent sticker plays a crucial role in how the colors appear.
- On White Surfaces: If you place the sticker on a white surface, the colors will seem more vibrant and opaque, closely resembling your digital design.
- On Dark or Patterned Surfaces: Applying the sticker to a dark or patterned surface can greatly reduce the visibility of your design. The darker the surface, the more subdued the colors will appear.
- On Glass or Clear Surfaces: When the sticker is placed on a clear surface like glass or a window, the colors will appear at their lightest and most transparent.
Color Choice Recommendations: It's advised to use darker colors in your design for transparent stickers without a white underlay. Dark colors are less translucent and thus more visible. Light colors, on the other hand, should be used cautiously as they are more likely to appear faint and may not stand out as intended.
