Pearl finish is a special paper coating that contains pearlescent particles, giving the surface a soft, iridescent shimmer that catches light differently depending on your angle. It is subtle, not glittery — more like a luxury paper stock than a flashy finish.

Pearl postcards are printed on 26pt stock, which is considerably thicker than standard 14pt–16pt postcard stock. The extra weight gives them a noticeably premium feel and makes them less likely to bend or crease during mailing.

The pearl surface is coated, which makes it less suitable for standard ballpoint pens. If you need to handwrite on a pearl postcard, a Sharpie or similar permanent marker works best. For writable postcards, our standard uncoated option is a better fit.
