Foil Stamped postcards are for moments that deserve more than ink. A heated die presses real metallic foil directly onto the card surface, creating a reflective finish that cannot be replicated digitally or with standard printing. Combined with soft touch laminate, the contrast between the velvet surface and the metallic foil is striking. Use it on your logo, a headline, a pattern, or a border. Even a small area of foil transforms the entire piece.

What foil colors are available for postcard printing at Jukebox?

Can foil stamping be applied to both sides of a postcard?

Yes. Foil can be applied to the front, back, or both sides of a foil stamped postcard. Most orders apply foil to the front for visual impact and keep the back as a standard printed surface for address and messaging information.

Can I mail foil stamped postcards?

Foil stamped postcards can be mailed, but soft touch laminate — which is standard on foil postcards — is not recommended for automated postal sorting machines. We recommend checking with Canada Post for accommodations, or mailing in envelopes. For direct mail campaigns without envelopes, our standard stock foil postcards are a better fit.

How do I set up a design file for foil stamped postcards?

Your file needs two components: the regular print file for the full-color design, and a separate foil mask file indicating exactly where the foil should be applied. The foil mask should be in vector format with 100% black (K100) indicating foil areas and white indicating no foil. Foil applied to text should be a minimum of 12pt font size.
