Mini Brochures are just like our stand
The flat page size of the Mini Brochures is 11 x 4 inches, folded in the same way as our other brochures.
They are a handy pocket-sized brochure great size for instruction manuals, guides, resumes and other advertising and marketing needs.
See: Folding options.
What is the most common Brochure option?
The most common brochures are Trifold (Roll Fold) 8.5" x 11".
This size fits into most standard rack card holders and #10 letter Envelopes.
Why are panel sizes different for Brochures?
Panels of brochures are never the same size - some are smaller than others so that the brochure can fold and close as evenly as possible. Generally, the difference is only 1 mm - 3 mm between panels.
Before starting the design process of your brochure, ensure that you (or your designer) are using the correct template for the size and fold type you will be ordering. As brochure templates are not interchangeable, it is important to use the right one before creating or placing any content so that you do not have to rearrange your design later on. For example, you cannot design a brochure using a 3-panel Trifold template and then place an order for 3-panel Z Fold brochures. Your design will need to be adjusted to match the folding lines / correct panel sizes.
How to Choose the Appropriate Brochure
With a wide range of folding options available, it's easy to forget which stocks work best with each folding type. Below are guidelines to help you choose the best brochure for your needs.
Thinner papers (70lb - 100lb) are best suited for brochures as they can easily be folded after scoring.
Brochures printed on a card stock (10pt or thicker) are more prone to opening and will not lay as flat because it is thicker and more resistant to folding.
Laminate coatings (like Silk Matte) increases the strength of the stock causing more resistance to folding. As a result, the panels of folded brochures will likely stay open and not lay flat.
All brochures are scored prior to folding. Scoring is the process of creasing the paper so it will fold easier.
Brochure orders are folded according to the order specifications and delivered folded, unless the "no folding" option is selected.
See: Brochure Folding Options.

- Bleed Area

Bleed Area refers to images that extend to the very edges of a design. To prevent an unwanted white border from showing at the edge of your design, or for the design to appear slightly off-center, be sure to extend any background colors or design elements all the way to the edge of bleed (.125” past the trim on all four sides).
Trim Area refers to the amount of the image that will appear on your finished product. These areas will also be marked with ‘cut lines’ on your proof and are where we aim to cut your card.
Safety Area in most cases refers to 1/8 of an inch inside of the Trim Area. For thicker papers 20pt and up or wooden papers the Safety Area increases ¼ of an inch inside the Trim Area. we strongly recommend you keep important aspects of your design such as text and logos well inside of the Safety Area, otherwise, they may be cut off.
